Dear Mr Xxxx Xxxx,

I am writing to you as a concerned member of the Asian community. We are constantly being deceived by immigrants from our home lands that marry our sisters and ruin their lives. Take the case from Blackburn recently, he wasn’t a British born Asian and furthermore he had been separated from his wife. Yet still he was around long enough after their separation to stab her to death and also brutally attack her sister. There is a common culture amongst Pakistani and Indian families that they get their children married from their home lands (arranged marriages), but unfortunately not all the people from these countries are as they seem. I know of many cases where they have deceived parents into giving their daughters away when the husband to be has absolutely no intentions of staying with her, he is just looking for a way to come into the country. As soon as they get their permanent residency their off and away.

What I am proposing to you is that there should be legislation where if these people separate or get divorced from their partners then they should have to leave the country and go back home. This would be a deterrent for those who have ulterior motives. Please consider this, I am not just speaking alone there are many British Asians who feel the same.

Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding this matter. I can give you a good insight into the troubles that these people cause. These people should be monitored or regular contact should be maintained with their spouses to see if everything is going well.
